Dekati

Dekati marks a significant milestone in JessC’s musical journey as her first Malay-language album, created with an international production team including US producers. It represents a bold step into contemporary Malay music, blending new sounds and influences while staying rooted in heartfelt storytelling.

A special highlight of the album is “Tak Terpisah,” a moving collaboration with Malaysian diva Fauziah Latiff. Their duet celebrates friendship, acceptance and the enduring bonds that remain despite differences, bringing together two distinctive voices across generations.

Across five tracks, Dekati explores contemporary Malay pop through a vibrant mix of dance-pop, rock, electronic textures and heartfelt ballads. The title track combines energetic pop-rock with nostalgic synthwave, capturing the courage and excitement of taking the first step toward someone or something you desire.

“Expose” shifts into a bold electropop-rock sound, confronting deception and the courage to reveal the truth. “Cinta Tanpa Batas” takes a softer turn — an intimate, piano-driven 6/8 ballad with gentle jazz and understated R&B influences, creating a warm and spacious setting for JessC’s tender vocal.

“Demi Impian” completes the emotional arc with piano and strings, expressing unconditional love, sacrifice and the strength to remain devoted despite difficult choices.

Together, Dekati is a celebration of connection — between people, cultures and musical worlds — and a defining step forward in JessC’s artistic evolution.
