JessC and Fauziah Latiff Unite in ‘Tak Terpisah’, A Cross-Generational Collaboration

KUALA LUMPUR: International singer and music healer Jessie Chung has teamed up with Malaysian music legend Fauziah Latiff for a new duet titled Tak Terpisah.
Following the success of songs such as Satu Suara Raya and Dekati, the collaboration brings together two powerful voices from different generations while delivering a universal message about friendship, acceptance and the courage to love without limits.
Within just two weeks of its release, the Tak Terpisah music video surpassed 1.4 million views on YouTube and topped the Popnable Malaysian Hot 100 Songs Chart. The achievement also saw Fauziah ranked among the top four most popular female singers in Malaysia. The song has resonated with listeners not only in Malaysia but also in Indonesia and other countries.
JessC, who is also a Certified Therapeutic Musician, explained that music has always served as a form of healing in her artistic journey. With medical training and studies in therapeutic music from institutions in the United Kingdom and Spain, she aims to create songs that connect deeply with the human spirit.
“This song is a gift for anyone who has ever felt alone,” JessC said. “It speaks about courage and unconditional love.”
At the song’s launch in Malaysia, Fauziah revealed she was moved to tears the first time she heard the demo.
“The song has soul. It’s not just an ordinary pop track, but a message of deep healing,” she said.
A collaboration born from admiration
The collaboration itself began with JessC’s admiration for Fauziah dating back more than a decade. At one point she even performed a cover of Dia, a classic song closely associated with the legendary singer.
Today that admiration has evolved into a full artistic partnership, realised through the duet and a music video produced by a creative team from Australia and the United States.
Tak Terpisah further strengthens JessC’s presence across Asia, following the strong performance of her songs on Indonesian radio stations and her growing presence in regional media. Her Mandarin releases have also appeared on 17 music charts in China, reflecting her expanding international reach.
Meanwhile, Fauziah continues to display the charisma and artistic wisdom that have long made her one of Malaysia’s most enduring musical icons.
