JessC Explores Electro-Rock as She Enters Indonesia’s Music Scene with “Dekati”
Jakarta – After building a long-standing career in Malaysia, international singer Jessie Chung, known professionally as JessC, is expanding her reach into Indonesia’s music industry with her latest mini album Dekati.
The lead single, which shares the album’s title, serves as an introduction of her musical identity to Indonesian listeners. Its accompanying music video has already surpassed one million views online and is now available across digital platforms.
Musically, Dekati blends synthwave and pop with a touch of electro-rock, giving the track a vibrant and contemporary edge. The song’s lyrics reflect a journey of emotional recovery and renewed confidence, capturing the spirit of rising above difficult moments while finding the courage to pursue love.

JessC, whose real name is Jessie Chung, also stands out for an unusually diverse background. She holds a Doctor of Medicine degree in oncology, a PhD in health sciences, and certifications in music therapy from the United Kingdom and Spain. In addition to her music career, she is known as a nutrition consultant, author, martial arts practitioner and philanthropist, bridging the worlds of science and art with notable dedication.
Before turning her focus to Indonesia, JessC had already introduced her music across several Asian markets, including China, Taiwan and Malaysia. Her work has appeared on charts such as the Universal Music Chart, the 5 Music International Chart Taiwan, and the i Radio Top Hits Chart, reaching audiences across the region.
